Technology

Our vision is to expand this general approach and provide specialized multi-cancer diagnostic tests.

DNA Profiling

DNA is composed of four building blocks organized in a unique sequence (genetics) and additional chemical patterns bound to the DNA (epigenetics).

When cells in our body die, their DNA is released into the blood. This DNA, named “cell-free DNA”, carries unique epigenetic markers, which provide information about the origin and status of the dying cells in our body.

Since cancer cells proliferate and die at high rates, cell-free DNA derived from cancer cells can be detected in the blood.

Identifying Unique Pixel Patterns for Each Cancer Type

Our team has developed an ultra-sensitive method for detecting genetic and epigenetic profiles in cell-free DNA that occur during cancer initiation and progression. We extract cell-free DNA from a blood sample and label markers using our proprietary process. The DNA is then hybridized onto our custom chip, and each cancer type presents a unique pixel pattern signature that can be used to classify both the type and stage of the disease.

AI Algorithm

An AI algorithm is used to define a disease-specific panel that presents the strongest biomarkers that differentiate healthy and cancer states, as well as cancer type and stage.
