Shahar Zirkin, Ph.D.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Shahar brings over 20 years of experience in management of R&D projects in the biomedical industry. He gained extensive experience in epigenetic-based cancer diagnostics and executed the development of the JaxBio technology. Shahar served as a CEO of D.N.S Cantek and COO at Cantek Global in the medical cannabis industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Bar Ilan University.

Prof. Yuval Ebenstein

Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

Yuval is Professor of Chemistry and PI of the NanoBioPhotonix lab at Tel Aviv University. In his lab, Yuval develops cutting edge technologies for cancer screening and diagnosis. He was awarded multiple grants by the EU including coordination of consortium grants.  Yuval is also the founder of the Tel-Aviv University Entrepreneurship Center.

Joel Bar-El

Co-founder

Joel Bar-El is a co-founder and the Executive Chairman at Trax, the world-leading retail analytics company. Joel is responsible for Trax’s long-term vision and leads efforts on corporate strategy, innovation and shareholder value creation. Before being named Executive Chairman of Trax in January 2021, Joel was the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to Trax, Joel was CEO of Sentryi Limited, a wealth management software company, which after four years of establishment was sold to IRESS Limited. Joel also co-founded Tersus Software Limited, where he built and managed the global sales channels and marketing activities.

Joel previously served as SunGard Business Integration General Manager for Asia Pacific and later North America, overseeing complete P&L and execution in those regions.

Joel has a unique ability to envision, develop and deliver paradigm changing technologies and is in every sense, a tech entrepreneur. He has spent the last 20 years delivering technology solutions to blue-chip clients and holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Tel Aviv University.

Dror Feldheim

Co-founder

Dror Feldheim is a co-founder and President at Trax, the world-leading retail analytics company. At Trax, Dror is responsible for broader strategic initiatives, expanding global partnerships and capitalizing on additional inorganic growth and acquisition opportunities. Before being named President in January 2021, Dror was Trax’s Chief Commercial Officer, where he oversaw Trax’s global sales management, distribution channel management, marketing communications, pricing and customer service.

Prior to joining Trax, Dror has had over 15 years of business development experience within the FMCG sector. With a proven track record of successfully launching FMCG brands in diverse geographies, he has managed various categories for tier-one manufacturers and distributors across both emerging and developed markets.

Dror has a strong background in customer success and category leadership, constantly seeking innovative ways to meet both customer and business needs. Dror holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Webster University.

Yael Michaeli, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer

Yael has over 20 years of experience in cancer research and technology development. She managed academic and industrial projects focusing on clinical cancer research and diagnostics. Yael holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, with expertise in biotechnology and cancer therapeutics.

Noa Gilat, Ph.D.

Head of R&D

Noa is an expert in DNA epigenomics, specifically in the context of DNA-related disease. She has over 10 years of experience in the development of optical detection methods for DNA-based diagnostics. Noa holds ph.D. in Chemistry from Tel Aviv University.

Orit Feldstein, Ph.D.

R&D scientist

Orit has over 15 years of expertise as a molecular biologist and in cancer-related non coding RNA regulation.
She has broad experience in chemical DNA modifications for cancer diagnosis purposes and was involved in developing the JaxBio Technology. She holds a ph.D in Biotechnology from Bar-Ilan University.

Topaz kreiser Shem-Tov, Ph.D.

R&D scientist

Topaz is proficient in self-assembly processes, microbiology, immunology, and tissue culture. She has extensive biomedical product development experience, including specializing in concept to market procedures. She holds a ph.D. in Biotechnology from Tel Aviv university.

Mika is finalizing her master’s degree in bioinformatics from Tel Aviv University and possesses experience in data analysis, specifically focusing on cancer genomics, epigenetics, and high-throughput data analysis. She holds a B.Sc degree in neuroscience and biology from Bar-Ilan University.

Lynne specializes in microbiology, molecular biology and chemical
ecology. She has experience in sponge microbiome and their natural
products, and holds a M.Sc. in Zoology from Tel Aviv University.

Prof. Irit Avivi

Tel Aviv Souraski Medical Center (Ichilov)

Prof. Iris Avivi is a Hematology specialist and serves as the head of the Department of Hematology at the Tel Aviv Sours Medical Center (Ichilov). Prof. Aviv is the former head of the Israeli Myelona-Group and the founder of the Hemato-Oncology research unit and tissue bank. Her major research and clinical expertise are in treatment of myeloma and lymphoma with various immune-modulating strategies including CAR-T CELL therapy. Prof. Aviv is also involved in multiple-centres clonocal studies involving biomarker studies and new therapeutic approaches.

Dr. Agrabia is a lung oncology expert, and Director of Oncology Institute at Bnai Zion Medical Center. 

He is also the Director of Oncology Institute at Asset hospital, Haifa. In addition, Dr. Agrabia is the leader of the Israel Lung Forum, North Israel.
